No, these are just the nominations, which are open to all SSTers thru Feb. 14th.

You can read the schedule & procedures on the first page "1" of this thread. That said, the more nominations a particular soundtrack receives, the more likely it will make it into the top 12. So in a way, it's like voting. Thanks for participating!

Well said, BP. My hope is that everyone is using that criteria in their selections - as opposed to nominating ones just because they're blockbusters or well-publicized. I think so far everyone is going with their hearts, like you. Very Happy

My nominations are:

Batman Begins - Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard
Crash - Mark Isham
Firefly - Greg Edmonson
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith - John Williams

These are just in alphabetical order and are not prioritized. I have not heard a lot of 2005 soundtracks well enough and I am sure there are a lot others I would have nominated had I heard them. That being said, these soundtracks are the ones from this year that hold a special place in my heart.

I am excited to see what the nominations turn out to be. Very Happy

If you do hear some that you really like in the final days of nominations, feel free to post to this thread again.

My vote goes to Crash...maybe not the most beautiful, but definitely original, and really worked the emotions of the film.
