I just missed one soundtrack (and I miss it on SST, too!), so another nomination from me goes to:
L'avion - Gabriel Yared |

mmm been thinking about this, and am still not entirely sure... but hopefully as the voting works it way down, I'll gel my perspective better.
-Chronicles of narnia
-Revenge of the Sith
-Firefly (yea rather than Serenity)
- Memoirs of a geisha
grrr.. I know of others that aren't so mainstream... let me edit this tonight. |

NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED for the 2005 SST AWARDS
Thank you all so much for participating in the 5th Annual SST Awards nomination process. Everyone at SST appreciates the time and thought each of you put into listing and describing your favorite soundtracks. This was a record-setting year for participation!
Your wide variety of choices is indicative of the broad range of tastes represented by the world-wide membership of SST.
Yet strong favorites emerged. The SST Staff will look at these, and also the lesser-known scores you've recommended. The Top 12 Finalists will be announced on Wednesday, February 22nd. People with SST Live365 VIP memberships will then vote for the Best Soundtrack of 2005 of the 5th Annual SST Awards.
THANKS AGAIN for a great year! |

I meant to ask this before... and I have a sucky memory... for some might well have been asked before.
1) Does a reissue or remastered score count if it comes out that year? e.g. the Somewhere in Time one that came out this year?
2) Grant it, this might not be an easy thing, but an actual list of eligible scores might be good, cause otherwise the event movies do tend to stick in your head. I realize this could be a VERY long list, but it might help. |

That might have been helpful before nominations closed.
I'll lock this thread. Two may unlock it for the next phase.

VOTING for SST AWARDS HAS ENDED.
The winner will be announced by Jeric in the April update. (See Home page end of March or early April.)
On behalf of Jeric and the entire SST Staff, thank you to all VIPs who took time to vote. Your support and continual participation are what make SST possible and the great station we all love.
The turnout was terrific. It was great to hear from longtime SSTers and brand new VIPs as well!
Thanks again! |
