Hi YoKaMo - Glad to hear it! I've noticed your requests and was happy to see someone venturing out to try new things. You've introduced a lot of new things to the rest of us, too.
It's great that you're discovering Delerue and Wilde as well. |

I can say I discovered everything!
In particular Joe Hisaishi. Although he was known to me, I had only heard the soundtracks from the Miyazaki movies. Thank you for leting me discover Kikujiro Jeric!!! _________________ Pixie "Actually Tree, I wasn't referring to you as a dingus, but seems like you might just qualify as one now!" |

ditto. Well... most of everything.
Before SST I knew of a few score composers; Silvestri, Williams, Kamen, Elfman, and Goldsmith. I knew the music from the alot of movies, but just didn't know the composers. Because of my listening to the wonderful selection at SST I've been paying more attention to who composed the music in the movies I have seen and movies I'm seeing for the first time. I can now recognize the names of Georges Delarue, Basil Poledouris, Debbie Wiseman, Randy Edelman, Bruce Broughton, Randy Newman, John Ottman, Joe Hisashi, and countless others.
Thank you Jeric! And thank you to all who make this site so wonderful! _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

I should be keeping a list of all the great scores and composers I've discovered just during my first few days on this site, but that would be far too much trouble. I've discovered some amazing Delerue, some great Goldsmith that I'd never heard before and countless other composers and track artists. Oh, and the Ace Combat game soundtracks. Great stuff there too. Basically, every day is a new adventure in discovery (and rediscovery of things I'd forgotten) on the best site (and stream) on the entire web. _________________ "Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens, makes her a home."

Joe Hishaishi
Had tears in my eyes when I first heard The legend of Ashitaka of Mononoke's Symphonic suite.
I still owe cvb for that one. |

I would also say that I discovered everything, but also that I discover new things everytime I listen to the sst stream, and right now I don't know what I should do if I didn't knew who Wojciech Kilar was _________________ Our umbrellas are colliding and I can't walk straightly.

The first time I heared a track "American Beauty" of Thomas Newman, time stood still for a moment. Since then I requested a lot of Newman soundtracks. Great composer which I discoverd here at SST.
Besides Newman I thank SST for introducing me to the following:
-E.S. Posthumus
-Michael Giacchino
-Sinbad (by J.N. Howard) by far the best ST ever made
-Children of Dune (by Brian Tyler)
-Nightmare before Christmas (by Danny Elfman) _________________ In a world without justice, one man was chosen to protect the innocent. |
