Day of the River is a great track indeed, AdamR! I still have a preference for The Sixth Station though Smile

Just discovered this thread ... Smile

all the mentioned piano pieces are beautiful! Some of them are my all time favourites like "Schindlers List" or "the piano" ...and ....and ....

May I add another piano piece?

The life of others - Gabriel Yared & Stephane Moucha
The track "Gesichter Der Liebe"

Hey All, Jenny here.
I play guitar very well. In some special parties of our family and in social function also i use to play some songs. Nowadays i am learning piano. There are so many good piano yhemes I have got from my music lover friends here. Sooner i will also put my own nice theme for B'day at here.

There are so many beautiful piano themes, as the piano is a very common instrument ... Just a few occuring to me at the moment: "Schindlers List", "Theme from Angela's Ashes", "Meeting Again" from Benjamin Button, "End Titles" from Lady In The Water, "Tennesee" from Pearl Harbor, "Feather Theme" from Forest Gump, "Glasgow Love Theme" from Love Actually, "Vesper" from James Bond - Casino Royale ... a nearly endless list, if I think of e.g. all the Morricone-tunes ...

In the soundtrack department, it would have to be Kikujiro's Summer by Joe Hisaishi for me. Outside soundtracks (though it was used in the movie Fame) it would be the third movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata! (just wish my fingers could move fast enough on the piano Sad )

Last, I was thinking of the Fame track "Ralph And Monty (Dressing Room Piano)". There is something about it which I like and sticks with me. This isn't what you were referring to from Moonlight Sonata, is it?

So many lovely piano tracks come to mind. My favorites are "Incontro Sotto La Pioggia" from Vaniglia E Cioccolato, and the quick little "Mon Chien" & beautiful "Recueillement" from Rombi's Un Homme Et Son Chien.

I gotta say I love just about all of Einaudi's piano tracks that I've heard.

But my favorites are still the Final Fantasy Piano Collection. Uomatsu is great, and the music just brings back so many images if you've played the games. I just sit back with my eyes closed everytime one is played.
