Nice Brossé, already out?
My weekly visit to Muziekweb got me these soundtracks:
JANE EYRE - DARIO MARIANELLI
ATONEMENT - DARIO MARIANELLI
AWAKENINGS - RANDY NEWMAN _________________

I recently got this classic:
A silent Sci-Fi movie blockbuster from Germany in 1927 at a production cost of approximately 5 million Reichsmarks. The score is outstanding classical music-- both majestic & also lyrical in several places. This score had to add even more blockbusterness to the film. Can you imagine it- back in 1927? The audience surely had to be mindboggled, as I think it comparable to our seeing the first Star Wars epic where we all were as same.
Numerous attempts have been made to restore the original film & a pathetic (IMHO) knock-off in the early 80's was produced with a soundtrack by rock stars such as Adam Ant & Freddie Mercury, among others.
I could see this 32 track score being added to the AFM library - it might get lost here. I'm not positive about that; its jmo, again. _________________ "I like what I hear as a resulting combination of these two strands... something of a combination of familiarity and, for lack of a better word, strangeness." -Alex North |

Barring gifts/donations the last I got for myself was actually this:
Cary. Audrey. Henry.
Older movie, new album. It's actually the first time that the complete score has been released. Very nice if you're into low-key Latin lounge jazz or retro sounds. |

great one Mojo, I remember the Tenerife Concert played two pieces of this score.
It's on my wishlist since then.
But I got me some others from my list:
DEATH ON THE NILE - NINO ROTA
AN ENGLISHMAN WHO WENT UP A HILL... - STEPHEN ENDELMAN
CE QUE LE JOUR DOIT À LA NUIT - ARMAND AMAR
(the new Amar !!!)
I'l list them on my cdlist right away so you can see the covers.

An old Soundtrack new in my rack - Vangelis 1492.
Vangelis Greatest Hits ... ... was one of my first albums.
And it is one of the reasons, why I have the good old Dual record player in my music room. _________________ All channels of 24Seven.FM (SST, DFM, EFM, AFM und 1980s.FM) on your Windows Phone!

Two very nice Vangelis albums. Only the greatest hits is not a soundtrack.
So we have a separate Non soundtrack thread. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)
