I ordered "The Painted Veil" by Desplat as a gift for a Lang Lang enthusiast, and - as there was a special offer for CDs - got some things for myself.

Wow, what a cool coincidence Silver! Track #3 is my fave so far. |
I'm in love with #6, but #3 is great as well . |

Birthday yesterday! Husband got me:
I had asked for the second, but he surprised me with the first (as well as a handsome set of gourmet chocolates)! Listened to part 1 already; as expected, a far better soundtrack than the movie deserved. Though like the film, there's not really much happening. Tomorrow I listen to the second ST, where Carter Burwell['s minions] has finally crafted some decent action music. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

My friends gave me Lincoln, Coco avant Chanel, and the regular Hobbit soundtrack for Xmas. I returned the Hobbit without telling them and ordered the Special Edition version. They are awesome though, totally know to buy the scores, not the song soundtracks. |

Added these for Christmas. There really isn't too much of a difference between the regular Hobbit score and the Special Edition so I can just download the bonus/extended tracks from itunes.

After listening to a few tracks from one of the recent updates I immedialtely moved the album to my fav.list.
And now it's in my own collection:
I think we found a successor to Morricone. _________________

#1+2 I had preordered,
#3+4 I got for Christmas,
#5-7 I got for myself .
*Note: "We bought a Zoo" is more of an experimental pop album than a normal score; not sure how it would fit into SST but I like it. |
