It was the Man From Snowy River on cassette - I fell asleep to it every night with my boom box hidden under an extra pillow so I didn't get caught by my mom.

The first movie I ever went to was The Care Bears, and I had that on cassette. Rainbow Brite. I had An American Tail on vinyl. Lady and the Tramp too. Lots of Disney stuff followed, as well as stuff like The Sound of Music, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and West Side Story. I've been listening to scores since I was really little, and animated films were my gateway.

As many others, i was inspired to buy music from my favourite movies at the time, so the 1st cassette soundtracks i bought was TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES shortly after.

My first CD soundtrack was a STAR WARS complilation and then GOLDENEYE

I still have all of these almost 20 years later..... Cool

I was rummaging in the shed one day and came across a whole crate full of records - most were just generic pop hits, but my eyes took great interest in some of the Rogers and Hammerstein movie records, as well as a compiliation of some the greatest war movie themes, like 633 Squadron, Lawrence of Arabia, Where Eagles Dare and Reach for the Sky.

Well, I guess I can put in an entry here for my daughter's first soundtrack. She was born while we listened to Doctor Who Series 3, by Murray Gold. Great music to labor to, though I can't remember exactly which track was playing when she arrived.

On my 6th birthday, my uncle invited me to go to the cinema for my first time. We saw "Lion King", which i loved. I was so fascinated, my uncle decided to buy me the Soundtrack aswell.

This was my first CD ever (CD's were brand new back then) and my first Soundtrack.

It's still one of my Favorites!

I agree. Mine were born on Barry, but now they're more on a Hisaishi / Giacchino (for Pixar) mood Wink

The soundtrack I bought and heard first was Gladiator from Hans Zimmer. I'm still amazed by that Score and I think Hans Zimmer ist the man. Wink
