Search topic title and message text
Search message text only

are the only options when looking in "Forum Search". Why do not we have "Search title" only? I know that if it appears in the title, it will obviously fall into the "Search topic title and message text" category but "Search topic title only" would restrain the search. Sometimes it could make the search quicker and would probably be more specified to what one is looking for.

That is a very good idea. Unfortunately we are restricted by the code used for the forums. A new and major version of phpBB is on the way. Maybe they will address that. The search function of phpBB has always been lacking.

Any word on whether the "TOPIC SEARCH" function can be added soon ? ?

By being able to just search a topic.... we'd putting less of a demand on the server(s). Smile

Topic search? I don't think we have any content info in the DB, so you're pretty much stuck searching for title/artist/etc. Or did I misunderstand your question?

He means searching the forums. Searching in phpbb forums just plain suck. Maybe there is a nice plugin or something. Do not thing this feature is on the to do list. Hacking in the phpbb code is not recommended because of security reasons.
