I haven't been to cinema in a long time, I mostly watch them on DVD when they're released.
Another reason I went to the theater so rarely in the last 4 months could be that I just don't want to go alone OR there is no movie worth going... Confused (or I'm just too lazy to get my @ss up Razz)

mmm... I usually go to the cinema a couple of weeks after the release of the movie. Actually, I'm going to see this weekent Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which was released in Spain 3 weeks ago. I'm late! hihihi.

I also love watching movies o tv or rent them for in DVD. CINEMA RULES!!

I used to get those gift certificates from the multiplex, but they got real stingy with the removal of the "free birthday ticket." I just love cutting the free ticket coupons from the cereal boxes. $11 ticket from a $3 cereal box? Nice.

A few more options...

1. VCD (largely unknown outside the Asian community it seems), which might die out with more efficient storage media.
2. On a plane, "content edited for airline use." Most are digital projection or with a screen that drops down in front of you.
3. Your choice of uncut movie on business or first class.
4. Renting a DVD and player package from one of those rental stores in an airport terminal, where you usually just mail it back to them.
5. Invited to watch on your friend's home theatre, because he feels a need to rub it in your face. Dude, you're cool enough. Give it up already.

The only movie I went to see the night of the release was Lord of the Rings: Return of the King...and yes, I went in costume (only because my Ringwraith costume is the greatest thing in the world, and I will use any excuse to wear it!)

For movies that I really want to see, I go usually two weeks after their release, otherwise our small cinema is packed with people from all over. Usually I only see 2 or 3 movies a year in that way, most others I see on rented DVD in the summer at the cottage. Razz

How about for a (more recent) photograph for the faces behind the post thread?
