I don't know if anyone else has tried this, but Napster has gone legal and is a good way to hear some scores.

If you go to Napster.com and register (for free), you can listen to (almost) any song in their library, in its entirety, for free. You can do this up to five times. Then you can buy from them, subscribe to their pay service, etc.

I mention this because they do have a few score albums, mostly new stuff. I imaging they will continue to get more. I listened to the entire Munich score there. I kind of wish I hadn't, because I find that music soul-crushingly depressing.

You know how there's this new soundtrack out, and you don't know if you want it? You've listened to samples, but they don't give you the full picture. Or you hope to hear it on SST, but the timing doesn't work out, your stream fails or you just can't keep your mind on it because, hey, you're supposed to be working. But if the score is on Napster, you can listen to it up to five times, making your buying decision easier. Then you just scoot over to SST, click on the links here, and make your purchase through Amazon, sending some extra cash JERIC's way.

Has anyone else tried this service? Thoughts?

Many thanks for the info, LadyI, and for the plug. Every little bit helps. Smile

Thank you so much. Sometimes Amazon doesn't have the tracks uploaded yet, so this is awesome!

Seems like most of the ST albums over there are restricted to 30 second clips of the tracks. Sad There are a few though, that you can listen to the tracks in their entirety, and that's a good way to 'test drive' before buying...
