Eccleston was my first so naturally he's my favorite. Tennant is not far behind and Smith is not bad. After all I'm still watching. Although Moffat may be a big chunk of the reason why. _________________ "We apologize for the inconvenience." -- God, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I've discovered which choir performed along BBC NOW for the CD soundtrack recordings, at least up to series 5 (excluded series 2 which had BBC National chorus of Wales): Crouch end festival chorus, which seems to have also recorded the Video games live CD which is very popular here on SST. Anyone can tell me if they feature also in series 6? I will possibly live in Crouch end for the next 6 months and I have the mad idea of auditioning for them
I saw it, too, but something in the plot and the acting didn't move me the way it did in similar episodes in the previous series... I hope that now DW will return the brilliant show it used to be, this new season has been a bit disappointing so far.
This series may be disappointing you, Xalira, but it certainly is, in my opinion, light-years better than the last, which makes me angry whenever I think of it.
You're right, LadyInque, it could have been a nice ending.
What did you think of the second half of the series? I liked the Neil Gaiman episode with the Cybermen and also The Rings of Akhaten - basically, all the ones that resembled the "Russel T Davies era" the most. I very much miss the comedy of the earlier series, and I say this as a person who caught up with the new series only last summer.
Anyone going to the DW at the Proms on the 13th and 14th July? Tickets sold out in the first hour but some crazy people (like me) will go and queue up patiently on the day...

Good luck getting tickets! Dutchbat and I (maybe more?) will be on Tenerife then.
I'm not sure what I thought of the second half of the series. It's not so much that the episodes were good/bad, but with a new baby, I have had the heck of a time simply staying awake through an episode. I'm good for the first half hour, and then the day catches up to me, and before I know it, it's over.
I was conscious for all of the last episode, but... I'm just not sure how much I care.
Spoiler:
And if Clara only exists so she can keep saving the Doctor, well, big who cares. It makes the character simultaneously important and pointless.
I did like the "Rings of Akhaten," but it was Egyptian-themed, so how could I not?
Hey, new video/download from the Doctor Who Fan Orchestra. They're getting really, really good, and the videos are so much fun to watch. These people have a good time.
(And half that runtime is credits. The music is only about 7 minutes long.)
Lucky you, Caliburn! Subscriptions now close one hour after they open! I've missed it every time.
