Malukah version is nice indeed but doesn't get the mystical experience you will find with Erutan.
But two new entries for this topic:
 
First one is the music for the Finnish Opera Ballet performance of the Snow Queen, music by Tuomas Kantelinen. Breatthaking classical music with enough wit and taking on various styles during the travelling that happens in the story.
The other is by Dutch country/folk band 'Wolf in Loveland' Their second cd is a bit more bodied than their first one that had more a singer-songwriter style. This one still has the Dylan-feel with it but funded with drums and beautiful harmonious background singers.
Single 'the Devil has no home' has hit portential.

I just bought the nameless debut album of "the Common Linnets"
The Common Linnets (Ilse de Lange & Waylon) were the Dutch entry and ended up #2 in the recent Eurovision Song contest. The album is filled with gorgeous country songs with the blend of their voices being alternately used as solo voices on some tracks. Good lyrics too.
Incl. the ESC song: "Calm after the storm" that is now #1 in many charts.

Got this a bit ago:
Yes, it's that Hugh Laurie, the British actor from "House MD," "Black Adder," "Jeeves & Wooster" and a bunch of other shows.
This is his second musical album, similar style to his previous (old jazz & blues).
I just saw him perform with his band in Houston last night – lotsa fun!  |

Mojo, thank you for your recommendation. I 've bought it lately. Songs are short but full of energy. Although P!@tD released this album last year, their music reminds me old times. I saw/heard 'This Is Gospel' and 'Girls/Girls/Boys' unplugged on Youtube. Awesome! Even better than album versions. |

For guitar music enthusiasts. For Mike's fans this light music is maybe a bit disappointing. I 've bought deluxe edition including tracks without vocal. I really enjoy listening to this cool stuff when I drive a car. |

after having heard a World Premiere performance of this Max Richter recomposition of Vivaldi's Four Seasons I was very curious to the end result on album. Deutsche Grammophone has released it:

Stumbled upon an album on Adagio containing all symphonies of Samuel Wesley.
A beautiful edition of work by this 'English Mozart'
A visit to Muziekweb, Rotterdam made it mine.

Amidst the spree of new albums of soundtracks some non-soundtracks found their way to my collection too.
First one was a nice gift by Molossus
* Michal Lorenc by DesOrient
nice interpretations of Lorenc songs with Eastern/Asian feel.
Then there are the two albums by young talented singer Jake Bugg.
* Jake Bugg and Shangri La by Jake Bugg
Debutalbum and follow-up, with the latter being professionaly produced,
although both have the sound of the '60's guitarpop completed with Jake's Bob Dylan-voice.
* Passion by Murray Head.
This multitalented British singer is best known for his leading role in "Chess" and the hitsingle "One night in Bangkok"
His flexible vocal chords can do many more genres which are showcased on this album, contains some nice covers too.

I will have a listen to the Piano Guys CD next time i'm at Muziekweb, Rotterdam.
The combination of instruments on the cover intrigues me.
And so I did with the Oldfield album Martino mentioned above, and I bought that one too. It's unlike his early work an album with popsongs in the style of his later hits.

I'm not as big fan of Leszek as to have his complete discography, but I'm a fan anyway, so this compilation easily caught my eye.
