Christopher Lennertz receiving his first
Emmy nomination for WB show "Supernatural." He got the job through his
college friend Eric Kripke (creator and executive producer of the series),
however, this nomination shows that it's more than who you know. Chris has
done a lot of unique projects, from highly acclaimed indie movies to full
orchestral scores for videogames.
Please post any questions you would like to see asked. If we get enough submissions we will go forward with the interview.

Wow, congrats on the opportunities to do these interviews! Is there a story behind this? Here's a question for Mr. Lennertz:
What are the most striking differences (and similarities) between scoring for films, TV, and games. Are there peculiar aspects of each kind of project that you either particularly enjoy or dislike? |

What was it like receiving your first Emmy nomination? Do you have any future plans to score any big movies? _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |

This is kind of like Chandler's question:
Could you tell us a bit about your work process when you score an episode of Supernatural?
What's your approach to scoring a scary moment, like when a ghost or demon appears and makes the audience jump?
Working off bpewien's question:
If you had to compose something for yourself, what would it sound like? Your musical influences/style?
What kind of film would you like the opportunity to score in the future?
What other projects are you working on? |

Here are a few questions I have for Mr Lennertz:
Was it difficult taking over for Michael Giacchino for the Medal of Honor: Rising Sun score?
How did you approach scoring Medal of Honor: Rising Sun? Were you required to keep many of the themes or were you given a lot of liberty to compose the music how saw fit?
What has been your most rewarding experience thus far as a composer? What is your greatest personal achievement thus far as a composer?
What has been your most enjoyable score to compose?
What first got you interested in being a composer?
Was it difficult trying to establish yourself as a composer when you were first starting out?
Who are some of the composers you admired as you were growing up and learning your craft? Who are some of your favorite composer working today?
These are the questions I would be very interested in knowing about from Christopher Lennertz. |

It's in!... our first exclusive personal interview with composer Christopher Lennertz.
You can read it here in the new Interview section.
Luther, Asri, Zirael, and Nate: Jeric and all of us on the SST staff appreciate your invaluable input in coming up with questions for this interview. They were well thought out and interesting. They led to great insight into who Mr. Lennertz is as a person and gifted composer, as well as getting wonderful advice for people who might want to go into a career of composing soundtracks.
We hope this is just the beginning of many fascinating interviews to come.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in this one. |

Wow!...
With the new interview section, and with the album reviews slowly coming online, I think it's safe to say that SST is becoming THE soundtrack site on the Web.
Congratulations to all the admins, and keep up the good work!
