Hi everyone !
This one must be on SST ! It's a very classic of this type of movie !
You can find it there,^__^, on Amazon.
The songs are very enjoyable and who never heard "Singin in the rain" ? Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Debbie Reynolds sings for you !
Still on Amazon, with the same link, you can listen to some of the soundtracks. I recommand you to hear "good morning", "Moses" and of course "Singing in the rain".
If you want to have it, please say it ! _________________ In tartiflette we trust !! |

I hate to be a wet blanket (no pun intended) but I bought this album last year with the idea of submitting it to SST. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the sound quality.
With many of these old films, the original tapes leave much to be desired by today's standards. Purists don't mind because they (we) just want to hear the fabulous works, no matter what.
Truly it is wonderful that Rhino and other labels have released them for fans and film history buffs. That said, it's easier on the ears to hear a re-recording than the original soundtrack - imho. |

I don't think this CD sucks, but since Twopop experienced disappointing sound quality - my vote is "no". _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Ahhhhhhhhh, "Singin' In The Rain" . . . .
That song, which is played at Kroger's in the Produce Dept. while the vegetables are being auto-sprayed, always conjures up one or more of the following three rememberances:
1. The Gene Kelly Version
2. The Clockwork Orange Version
3. The Natalie Portman Version from Leon: The Professional |

PomPom, I'm so sorry about the "no".
Singing In The Rain is one of the greatest musicals of all time and the songs & dances are terrific.
Why can't they make the CD sound as good as the DVD soundtrack? I saw the movie again last year and rushed right out to buy the CD for SST. What a disappointment it was.
PomPom, I hope this won't discourage you from suggesting other score CDs you like. We appreciate your ideas and that you took the time to post to this forum. Merci. |

No problems Two !
It was just a suggestion ! If people don't like it, it's natural not to buy it !
