I've been working with live radio streaming on RadioReference.com lately and came across this today:
Kennedy Space Center communications:
Shuttle Air-Ground 1 and 2 and other launch related channels
Archives are available as well.
I've never listened, but it sounds promising and of interest to many folks here.

Yes it is. Thx, J2!
I listened a little while. Pretty quiet right at the moment, but it should be very interesting to tune in just before the next shuttle launch when they're doing their reconnaissance fly-overs. |

I got my Galileoscope delivered the other day and finally had a chance to test it last night when the clouds finally parted and both the moon and Jupiter popped out.
The moon looked better than ever, and I even saw the equatorial bands on Jupiter. The galilean moons were very easy to pick out.
I strongly recommend anyone not having a telescope to get one since they're only $15 (they increase to $20 on Aug 10th), and if you already have one maybe get one for your local school. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,

Today I found interesting set of diagrams showing the known universe in different sizes (from 12,5 light years to 14 billions light years from Sun) . It's in Polish but the names are in English so I think the idea is quite obvious and probably even without Polish vocabulary you can get the message.

Wow, thank you for sharing that molossus!! Even though science is my profession, I know next to nothing about astronomy and cosmology... And that presentation was really quite eye-opening. Thanks again!

You are welcome Luther & Twopop!
Today I noticed that the same diagrams and more (and what more important interesting info below them) are available also in English, Català, Español, Français, Português and Türkçe!

Just a small notice that tomorrow there will be a launch from India and that the rocket will be carrying 4 small satellites (10x10x10 centimeters) for four of our customers. The company I work for has negotiated these launch slots for them and has assisted the teams throughout the launch campaign. Tomorrow two of my colleagues will be in India watching the actual launch, while I will be in the office maintaining contact with them and all the customers, so intense day ahead

The launch went perfectly today
All of our customers' satellites have been successfully deployed from the launch vehicle and two of them have already been heard by radio-amateurs in California. In the coming hours they will appear over the groundstations of the teams and then we will be able to tell if all of them are alive and well, but so far it's been a very good day |

Thanks for the info Albi, I give my congratulations to you and your team.
Also watching the blog.
Good luck with 'finding' the other two satellites _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Thanks Sirius, appreciate it
Almost the end of busy day here but all we received today was good news. All four satellites have been heard and all indications are that the satellites are healthy, making our first launch campain a resounding success |
