I'll play the soundtrack, and see if I like it...

Great Find NotMiles! Much more detailed than what's on the Amazon site! I rented the movie mostly because 1) I like film noir and 2) I love Mark Isham's work. I would like to make some comments about the movie. It didn't get very good critical reviews, but I thought it was very well done. If it was done to haunt and scare me - it worked! I like scary stuff so I don't get scared at all, but this movie seemed to haunt me. In fact, initially it didn't seem to bother me, but I had some bad dreams and wondered if the movie didn't cause it in a deep subconscious way. I won't spoil the story, but the main character is a woman.

Regarding the score, Not Miles requests "At Norton and Collisium" which is beautiful and my favorite is the love theme "The Two of Us". I love the other love theme cues too. My budget won't allow me to buy the soundtrack, but I would love to be able to listen to all of it at one sitting! Isham's talent for drama with the strings, flute and horn are so beautiful. I love jazz which is not a popular genre for movie soundtracks, so whenever I find one in his other film soundtracks I'm particularly delighted!

I was so happy when Mark's wife donated some of his ST's to us! Happy Listening!
