*agree's with Wrabbit* it is a strange coincidence... hhmm...

Get Well Jorel.

*quickly makes a call to cancel the Mime he hired to harass Jorel while he was in NY* ... *calls to cancel news crew* ... *dreams of seeing "SUPERMAN PUMELS MIME" on front page of NY Times fade away*

*instead.. gives jorel present*

It works for me.

Sorry to hear that Jorel. Can't they give you the drugs to grunt your way through the weekend? It's only an unimportant organ. No but seriously, we wish you the best.

Sounds terrific as BQ said.

Ya know, Jorel sent a note of apology on Monday that he had been sick and felt badly about not pre-ordering. I had threatened the slackers on ordering, there were 4 that they would get cold pasta with no sauce because they did not pre-order. I even told the manager!
Alas, I guess he will not even be able to eat that now!
I am way sorry and hate missing him on the week-end.

That was way nice of you Chippy to offer the chocolate covered nut!

And BQ I am off to read my horoscope, if it says do not sit by the Aries woman she will get spilled on, I am at the other end of the table!!!!

Jorelson, what bad luck! I can't imagine what I would do, knowing I was missing this concert. Major depression. My heart goes out to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery. And we'll all pray for that small chance that you come walking through the door anyway -- or perhaps crawling.

Of course, there is also the chance that Jorelson is just playing with us all and is waiting to make his grand entrance to surprise us. Shocked Exclamation

Here's a very nice article from the International Herald Tribune about the Composer.

http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/01/30/news/morri.php

For my Hotel stays, I like to include:

Earplugs, 'cause you never know how noisy the neighbors, or the building might be....

Some clothespins.... to secure the curtians, to keep out as much light as possible, if I'm sleeping in after a late night....

Alcohal pads.... the kind they sell at Drug stores.... To clean the telephone surfaces with.... you never know who's been talking on your phone !!

My own shower size bar of soap..... the Hotel soap bars can be so tiny!

-------------------------------
4 Day Weather Forecast for NYC:

2 February 2007 – Renowned Italian composer and conductor Ennio Morricone performed a concert this evening at the United Nations entitled “Message for Peace” in support of the Organization’s global work.

The concert, held in the General Assembly Hall at UN Headquarters in New York, featured a 170-piece symphony orchestra and polyphonic choir performing pieces based on original scores which were composed, orchestrated and conducted by Mr. Morricone.

Selections included the composition “Voci dal Silenzio” (“Voices from Silences”) which he wrote after the events of 11 September 2001 and is in memory of victims of all massacres throughout history.

Mr. Morricone, who is set to receive an Honorary Academy Award this month to celebrate his many contributions to cinematic music, dedicated tonight’s performance to all UN staff.
