OK, maybe I was in a LOTR state of mind this week. Just had to get these polls outta my head. I was going to put the songs and vocal performances in one poll, but I didn't think it would make a fair choice.
So, this poll is asking which is your favorite track from the LOTR Trilogy containing a vocal performance?
This is based on the original soundtracks and excludes choral pieces (which could make up their own poll!).
I'm going to pick Twilight And Shadow. Renee Fleming's vocals are so haunting. My top 3 would be:
1. Twilight and Shadow
2. Evenstar
3. The Breaking Of The Fellowship _________________ "After dark all cats are leopards." - Native American Proverb |

Great post Leopard
I'd also go for Twilight and Shadow and Evenstar. My third choice would then be Breath of Life. _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

I went with The Breaking Of The Fellowship. Young Mr. Ross is quite a talented vocalist.

That's not an easy choice, I always loved Isabel Bayrakdarian's Evenstar but Ben Del Maestro's part in Forth Eorlingas is very haunting.
My vote goes to Evenstar. _________________ <a href="http://open.spotify.com/user/1124842745/playlist/07ef4UkPUvnzPCrojawaDY">Spotify Playlist Film Score</a> |

I like Liv Tyler's vocal performance in the Extended Edition of ROTK. (You can hear her vocals during the House of Healing scene, not in the original cut.) It's good because, like Mirando Otto's dirge in the extended TTT, the real actress is singing. I always appreciate that. Though Viggo's singing doesn't do it for me.
But out of the poll options, maybe Breaking of the Fellowship? Tough call. |

This is a tough question! I love them all...I chose Billy Boyd though. He's got such a clear, beautiful voice. _________________ "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." - Gandalf the Grey |

My vote goes for Billy Boyd-The Steward of Gondor. This song was really touching, and I loved how they flashed from the two scenes while he was singing it. Plus, you have to admit, the guy has a pretty good voice. |

Tough choice for me! I can't even pick what comes second or third, because I swear all of them tied for it! My first choice goes to Billy Boyd though, he did an amazing job in Steward of Gondor. And no, I'm not one of those rabid Pippin fangirls XD _________________ When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. |
