I'm just so happy Saffy and Twopop got the chance to go. Thank you so very much for attending and sharing all the details. I really do feel like I was there. Next time I hope I will be too! _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I couldn't get that day off from work...I was sooo close to meeting Danny Elfman. _________________ I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. I have gotten into a little bit more of
this thread. First, thanks for all this
information, Two and Saff. Every bit is
worthy, worthy, worthy!
Craig's talk sounds fascinating. I can't
agree with him more, regarding the cello.
And then to decide to re-record that score...
That must have been interesting. I wish I
it will could have heard the original, next
to the final. I am sure he made the right
decision to do it, in the end.
Gosh! If I saw that picture, I never
would have said THAT was Olivia and this
is someone who kind of kept tabs on her
way back. Hers was a good road gig,
then she was doing the US regularly
and before she married. People don't
realize that she covered a lot of
ground. Kick-ass professional and ran
a tight ship. Again, I still can't
believe that's her. Just doesn't look
like her, to me. Go figure.
Melissa, you know, came up from noth-
ing. No one listened to her. It was a
real grassroots rise to fame for her.
Lots of boots out, paving the way
for her later success. I have seen
her a few times. My sister-in-law
was the first person to expose Judy
and I to her and that was back in
the 1980's. No one knew her but she
made an impression. Let me tell you!
Monstrous energy and real core! I
can understand why she would do a
Joplin tribute. I actually worked
on one in Boston, back in the late
1970's. We had a Joplin double but
in every way. We could never get
it on stage.
Anyway, Melissa is quite a woman
and with heart. I was so happy she
got Kenny Arnoff from Johnny Cougar
for her band, the last time I saw
her. What a show that was! Politics
aside, she's been one of the great
developments in pop music in the
last 30 years.
To hear advice from them is price-
less. I hope that some young aspir-
ing artists were there to hear them.
I'll pick up on the next parts of
the thread over the next couple of
days. I can't believe that's Harvey's
son in that picture!!!! Harvey Sr.
is a quintessential drummer and one
of my biggest influences!! Unreal!!
Thanks, again, Saffy and Two!! Look
forward to reading more! _________________ All in the world recognize the

Ah that is great, Jeric. Thanks so much. Yes, you must attend next year. I'll come armed with more cameras, business cards, and tote bags.
It would be the perfect venue for these influential people to meet you, and for them to become aware of SST and what an asset it could be for them. |

More on Olivia and Melissa,
Two or Saff - Did Olivia and
Melissa talk at all about her
working with their agents? I
think a lot of young artists
have to learn about that rel-
ationship. _________________ All in the world recognize the
