I haven't been able to access the stream for about a week now, trying on and off. I use WMP and have tried both the 64k and 32k streams. Here's what happens:

I click on the link and it tries to open as usual. Then at the bottom I get the message "error downloading codec." Meanwhile, it acts as if it's playing the stream, but I hear absolutely nothing. Right now, for example, it says I've been playing SST for 15 minutes, but I've not heard a thing.

* My sound is indeed on. Razz
* I reinstalled the aac plugin, just to check.

Anyone know how I might be able to fix this? I'm going into withdrawal.

Do you have the Orban aacPlus plug-in installed?

Sure do. I even rebooted after I reinstalled it - still nothing.

Have you tried another player, or another stream? That would help us narrow down where the issue is. I suspect it's with WMP (from the codec error) but this might confirm it. Also, is your WMP the up to date version?

It's not the newest version, but still pretty recent (came with my laptop, which I bought new summer 2005). I may try installing the newest version, though I hadn't up to this point because I didn't like the look of the layout.

I also read through the "readme" for the Orban aac plugin, and it mentioned something about the plugin conflicting with something else within Windows or WMP, that may cause this problem. Unfortunately, I'm not the smartest of computer whizzes and don't know how to fix it.

So maybe I should look into downloading Winamp? Razz

EDIT: Huh, just tried it again and it's working. How strange. On the other hand... yay Man From Snowy River. *grin*
