From one devoted SSTer to another - thank you, Dalandis!
What a great idea. Not to give anything away before ppl see it, I just loved reading every side of it.
And now only a couple dozen more to go

Just for the X-mas noob. Has the box some kind of meaning? We dont have a tradition of putting boxes in our trees. |

No special meaning that I know of, Cal, but you could put a small gift inside and use it in the "traditional" box role as well.

Caliburn:
No special reason to it being a box/cube other than it makes for an easy shape to cut and construct in less than about 10 minutes or so. So instant holiday gratification is one of the key reasons. Also, you'll see a note on the download sheet about the possibility of using it as a gift box. Give the gift of VIP live365 to someone perhaps? Might make a cool gift for friends and family. I see a link for that here:
https://store.live365.com/orders/orderform-giftcert.live
Certainly not the reason for making the ornament... but might be a good idea for people. I would do that as a gift for my parents, but they use iTunes to beam music to remote speakers, so live365 VIP won't really work for them.
Anyway... the cube just lends itself to the SST experience to me since our beloved web expereince is sort of box-ish. Feels like a little bit of SST internet love spead to the rest of the house.

Sensei:
Open the PREFERENCES file for your printer. Under PAGE SET UP check the "print with glue strip" option. You could also check "die cut" and "fold on dotted lines" options to make your printer do ALL the work.
But I think it's more fun to build it by hand.
(Thanks for the note! Happy Holidays!)

Oh cool! I'm making one and hanging it from my little stuffed snowman's hands here in my room at school _________________ When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. |

Great, Arya!
btw - The one I made last year (picture above) was printed on glossy photo paper. It's a little heavier and makes the colors very bright. |
