Brazilian film music composer awarded in France


The film music composer ANDERSEN VIANA receives two international composition prizes in France


The film music composer and professor Andersen Viana was the winner of two prizes at the Concours International de Composition pour Orchestre D’Harmonie in Lambersart, town distant from 200 km from Paris-France. Andersen got the first prize with his piece named Ultimo Movimento, which got also the Public Prize at the final round realized in October.



About 40 composers from all over the world has participated in this competition. At the final, with the jury composed by the most prominent musical personalities in France with the Désiré Dondeyne as a president, three Europeans composers has participated, one French, one Japanese and Andersen Viana as the only representing all Americas.


Actually, doctorship in Music Composition by the Federal University of Bahia- Brésil, Andersen, who was born in Belo Horizonte city in Minas Gerais, for a long time has crossed the barrier of the mountains with the sounds of his music. This is the 17º prize that he has got with his music, five of them at the international level in USA, Italy, Belgium and now, more two prizes in France. A brilliant musical career that gives him a reward to his studies and work since his childhood with his father, maestro Sebastião Vianna, assistant and reviewer of Mr. Villa-lobos.
