Hi.
I just thought to add somewhere my opinion about Battlestar Galactica S2,
since it was picked the OST of the month whatsoever,
yeah, I think its very eclectic. I mean I found HZ's Minstrel Boy from
Black Hawk Down, John Murphy's There They Were from 28 Days Later,
the tempo of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, the drums from Master&Commander, and
even the 'tadamm dam dadamm' from the Terminator.
Okay, maybe I expected too much or I dont know. So for me this
score is a mystery. An unbelievable Main Theme, and then a solid
collection of my favourite OSTs. Strange, I guess
I see what people like in it, but I dont get it completely.
For me the ST of the year would be definately The Fountain, and you wrote down
everything about it.
But I havent seen The Departed from Howard Shore. unfortunately in the movie
the Lord of the Dance remix is much more emphasized, although its a brilliant score.
Sorry, I talk to much, shot me down. so
1. The Fountain
2. The Departed
3. POTC 2
4. Blood Diamond
5. Eragon
And The New World, Perfume, the Da Vinci code and Babel were all right too.
Bye,

Welcome to SST Joseph! Great to see you already posting in the forums. Always interesting to see an older thread bumped to the top with a new contribution.
Many of your selections were the same as mine. How do you like Notes of a Scandal in comparison to Glass' other work? Personally I am not a fan of Glass' work for the most part, but not heard any of the score to Notes on a Scandal either to judge that work in isolation. |
