Chris and I are back in NJ with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. We'll depart for home tomorrow morning.

We had such a wonderful time! The concert was terrific. with both familiar pieces and ones that were totally new to me. A warmly appreciative audience, three standing ovations and three encores!

Cinder deserves an engraved trophy for arranging the excellent dinner we all enjoyed. The food was first rate!

But for me, the pinnacle was actually meeting all the wonderful people whose company I've enjoyed in chat. Such frendly and welcoming people. I only wish there had been more time so that I could have spent time talking with each of you.

And of course, there was the post-concert party at Pete's Pad. I am a gentleman, so my lips are sealed as to details. *cough -- eyes go all shifty as he tries to disguise the fact he can't remember any details ... something to do with the superfluity of The MacCallan* ...

We most definitely must do this again! Maybe next time a good Broadway show could be the centerpiece?

JERIC & BQ: All of us are very fortunate to be the beneficiaries of your generosity and your dedication to sustaining SST -- and keeping this wealth of film music available to all of us. Now we lucky ones are especially lucky to have met you.

I will enjoy memories of this wonderful experience the rest of my life. I will be forever grateful!

HI ALL,

I am home. I dont know if I have ever had such a good time! A testament to us all as supposedly we were all strangers. I too loved ennio (and such a new apprication for the good the bad and the ugly )but the highlight was meeting everyone. WE MUST DO THIS AGAIN. I have a ton of pictures. I am going to mail a disc so JERIC can post them as he wishes. HOwever those that attended pm me and I can mail to you all but you have to trade me. Smile

Three months of waiting was well worth it just to have dinner with Wrabbit and watch her fight off Pete!!! I have to say she held her own nicely!
Great trip out.. long only 5.5 hours, great room on the 17th floor! Taxi rides were like 'Toad's Wild Ride' for sure.
Had to laugh, no where else would I have paid $6.00 for a bagel and 4 more for the coffee!! NO cream cheese I might add.
All the high prices for drinks and food were for not just to hang out with the Crew!
Kudos to Workervr, for moving all day, coming into dinner, then back to her place to unpack, then back to the hotel to party!
PMF and friend, for making it after a bout of food poisining!!!
The amount of flying we did! I should have made a list of how many miles collectively we flew.
Pretty cold but who noticed? thank heavens no snow!
I was most clever however! In arriving Friday night, I got in and out of the shuttel wrong.. twice! Wrenched my knee nicely. Dr. DonOdon and Dr. Chris his wife came to my rescue! I shall always be greatful. They took cabs with me, and let me lean on them. You who saw me know that was no easy task! Due to knee I missed the now hush hush party details! After many hours of ice and getting to stay in hotel past check out time, I got to airport and the long trek home.
But wait... it did not stop there! Oh no it did not. I was so tired, I got the wrong luggage! hey navy blue is navy blue! who knew?? Soo back to the airport just now. Monday morning rush hour traffic! The office opened at 8:00 am, we were there at 5 till!
All is well. Knee 90% better, suitcase home and time for a nap!
I guess my only disappointment was in the three encores. Ennio just replayed what he played for the concert. But alas, it was wonderful. I am especially fond of Legend of 1900 and Once Upon A Time in The West. I had enough tissues to see me through the tears of joy and happiness to hear them.
Now it is mac and cheese and budget hardy to make up for it, but hey what is money for a once in a life time treat!
1001 thanks you to you all for your dinner help! To say I was shocked at the $938. bill was an understatement! You all stayed and helped me rally around to pay it. I am so greatful.
Chris and Don, enough typed.. thanks.

Ok in the words of President Bartlett from West Wing, What's next?

Workervr desperatly wishes she had a place in Manhattan to unpack but no she doesnt. I think it was wrabbit that worked so hard to be with us so I guess that makes her a worker! Very Happy
I myself did drag a suitcase on rollers all around the financial district, wall street, times square, battery park and the rubble of the trade center to visit with everyone.(although it did come in handy when phire rode the bull)

I just wanted to say hello and tell everyone that I met how much I enjoyed meeting everyone! It was so fun to match up the real people with the people in chat! I was disappointed that I missed the party after the concert - it sounds like it was a blast! I wanted to visit with my girlfriend that I was visiting in NY.

I enjoyed the dinner and thanks for including me at the last minute! Thanks to Cinder for all of her hard work organizing and with the beautiful placecards at the table and organizing the dinner. I saw the pictures that Jeric posted and they are great! I look forward to chatting more - since I'm still pretty new and am looking forward to another SST party soon. Last, thank you BQ and Jeric for being such wonderful and generous hosts!

Let me say how much I appreciate
Cind's on the details, related.
She really shined! Thanks, Cind!

I will be back, soon, I hope, to
give you much more detail on my
impressions of the whole trip!

What a leader and wife! What a
group of supporters! What a time!

I am going to write a de-
tailed report on EVERYTHING
that happened, piece by
piece, as time allows, to
share with everyone. -PC

Yes, it was a great time!
Imagine the tension built
up, wondering what it would
be like for everyone to meet
each other. While I had met
BP, once before, he was the
only one I had seen before.
He did not come until Sat-
urday, though. Nate came in,
first, on Friday night.

I had arrived on Thursday,
to prepare for a series of
meetings, on Friday. When
I came up to the desk, they
told me that, due to a water
problem, my floor was going
to lose hot water on Friday
and if they could make it
up by giving me a suite on
the 31st floor. Since, I was
booked all day, I told them
to go ahead. The water was
to be back on, at 3pm. That
is how I got the suite for
myself and then later, for
the group, after the concert.

It was a larger room, with a
couch and other seats and a
trunk, which was used to hide
Wrabbit's (then) dead body.

I bought the internet service
from the hotel, at $16.95 per
day and that is how the party
chatted with SST, late Saturday
night, though I had gotten on,
Thursday and Friday night.

Friday had meetings run late
and contacts, with individuals
became contact with teams and
I was an hour behind, by 6pm.
Crazy cabs around town but all
rather close to the hotel, I
got done with the last client
at about 7:30pm. Around
6:45pm, I think, I was con-
tacted by none other than the
Natedogg!!

More about him, later... Wink

I need to get some work done.

Smile

Pete - any reason why you can't write across the page? If you are going to post entire reports in that faux-poetic style, I don't think I can be bothered reading them.

It's force of habit, TSL.

Less eye-travel for my readers.

However, If it is a burden for
those, here, I can change it.

I don't post that often but given
the subject matter, here, it may
be an issue and if so, I will be
glad to let it run across.

Let me know, please.

For me it's OK the way it is - if you are asking Pete. But if others find it an issue I can live with reading your posts like the rest of these forums.

What is the most important thing - I can't wait for the next chapter of YOUR New York story! Continue please, any way you like Smile

Wrapping up with my client and
then meeting Nate was great! I
really had been looking forward
to meeting the mystery-man!

Actually, he was much like I
pictured him. We met up in the
suite, decided to go out for
food, rather than eat at the
hotel, with the $15 drinks!

Even removing cash from the
ATM was a $3 charge!! Surprised

Down the street, we found a
little deli and it was just
fine! Had some sandwiches and
the guy gave me a tip on where
I could find some bordeaux!
That came in quite handy! Smile

Nate is really cool guy, with
a neat background. Little did
I know he was going to be a
moderator and I no lie! Wink

We talked for a LONG time and
I found out a great deal, which
I might consider sharing with
the female population of SST,
for a nominal fee but maybe
I should think about that...

When I took pictures of him
with my spy-camera, I found
that the lens was broken and
thus no evidence of Nate's
true existence is available,
via PeteC. On top of that, I
kind of promised him I would
not take any photos of him.

As for what Nate had to say
about everyone on the site,
I cannot reveal that, for
fear of being banned forever.

And I no lie about that, either!

Wink

More, later...
