|
I have just upgraded to VIP but cannot use the WMP 128 K stream trhough WMP 11. I have reinstalled / rebooted the Ogg codec but WMP keeps telling me a codec is missing. I can listen to the stream through VLC media player though and excellent it is too! I'd prefer to use my WMP though, WMP-hd.asx is the file WMP tries to open.
Any ideas anyone please?
Thanks

Hi landj, and welcome to the VIP world
You're using the aacPlus stream; you need to install the Orban codec in order to hear it in WMP: http://www.orban.com/plugin/
Hope this helps! _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

Can you provide more details...google the error message....something?
I don't run Windows so I can't really help.

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found."
The stream can be opened though by VLC - if you right click and open with VLC it plays fine. I have reinstalled the Orban codec but (even after reboot) get the error. WMP broken? |

I think this was tested during the WMP 10 era...perhaps you can downgrade and see what happens?

I have fixed an issue with the 128k WMP aacPlus. Please check it again before making any changes. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
