This appears to be a stage musical and not a movie soundtrack. _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

We have soundtracks for movies, TV, video games, and anime, why not get some for stage musicals?
And to Szilvi: people would be able to voice their opinion better if you edit your original post and add a poll.

Personally I classify Soundtracks differently from Musicals. Granted, there are a few musicals here at SST already, but I am in favor of having the number of musicals at a minimum while keeping the emphasis on soundtracks. After all the site is called streamingsoundtracks.com.
So, if there was a poll for the addition of this 'musical' I would vote no. Just my two cents worth. |

But a soundtrack from a musical is still a soundtrack, no? _________________ "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you..." - Gandalf the Grey

"It's the station that knows how to SCORE". I think the mix we have right now is good. If a poll was added along with links for listening, then we could all be democratic and vote on it like the other soundtracks we have added. Until that's done, I don't see it getting in the playlist.

As I stated LOTR, IMO I don't think of nor classify a musical as a soundtrack. Plus, I don't think of it as a soundtrack from a musical, I think of it purely as a 'musical'. For example, when I go into a Barnes and Noble or Borders etc, the musicals are in a different area from the soundtracks. That to me says that the general public looks for these items seperately. |

I classify musical as a type of soundtrack but I think we're getting our musicals mixed up. We do have film musicals here but we don't do and never will do Broadway musicals. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Well then let's just pray, beg, and plead that Mike Nichols and Eric Idle move up the time table.
"Monty Python's Spamalot will have a U.S. national tour and a production in London", director Mike Nichols said. "Plans are underway for both." [This is now a go.]
Nichols also said discussions are underway to turn the show into a movie. "But if I have my way," he added, "that will be many years in the future." (from Onlineseats.com) |

Poll added as you suggested; I still do think R&J would suite SST fine, but its your choice if it was going to appeare on the playlist.
cheers,
