Spam filter? Seems like someone did not catch onto the purpose of the chatroom on the website. I thought it was odd and rude to demand a spam filter from someone who may be new or not knowing who is chatting in the site. I hope DGMurdock will reconsider such a quick comment and try to know who are doing the chatting instead of making such a demand on others enjoying SST.

I'm not sure if this is what DGMurdock meant, but the most recent site change, where you don't have to be logged on to see the chat, might be causing some issues. I've seen a couple of conversations about wanting to be able to turn it off, without losing the ability to see the queue.

I think DGM is referring to any kind of chatter as "spam" - incorrectly, of course, as we were just having normal conversation at the time that he came on and told us all to stop spamming the chat box.

So, I guess one could ask: is it possible to make a button that shows/hides anonymous chat?

He was probably saying hello to Andres, or some such person. Unless it happens repeatedly, why worry about it? The chat generally moves quickly enough that any "annoying" remark will be off the screen in a minute or two, anyway.
