If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Very good point jackkerouac127!

You know what really seems to cut down on the queue length? A limited playlist. 1.5 hours on a Friday? Unheard of! Absurd! The next time the queue gets unmanageable, I say just toss out a couple hundred albums, or kill the search feature on the request page. Smile

Then again, does it seem to you like it's newbies who request 15-minute tracks on a 2.5-hour queue? Maybe there should be a waiting period for new, especially non-donating members, before they can request anything longer than 5 minutes. Grr.

Sorry about the bitterness, it's just bugging me right now. Though honestly, I'm not sure why, except that as a general rule I don't like 15-minute tracks. They ask too much of me, as a listener. Whatever.

I don't know... I've been loving SST for months now and I have never said "I'm gonna post a 35 minute song because it's my only one." I would be willing to bet that most of the people on the site know they're going to have to wait for their request and will do so. I was excited when I became VIP and got to request after 30 minutes! Just be patient!! If you can't handle waiting, buy the album silly.

I had to laugh out loud at the last line!
I also am amazed at how many times in chat someone will say, Oh I am not listening to the stream, I just dropped by to chat. One fella from the early Euro shift, Late night for US listeners, cannot even get the stream into his office!!! He just likes us!
After the whole reload process each new ST is a gift all over again.
We all choose to come here to SST for the kind of music we love. If the wait is too long, there are two or three other locations you can visit.
Oh and by the way, as of yet I have not seen nor heard of a computer being sold without a volume control.
Just turn it off!

Leave well enough alone!
OH and Alien, thank you for your 7,000 requests as I am often there to hear most of them!
And I will always request the Ennio Morricone 18 minute piece from 72 meters!!!
