We had a bit of a catastrophe this weekend. All of our Playlist files are gone. We always have at least one mirror of it but it will take quite a while to upload.

Thanks for the update, jeric. Was a bit scared.
Also, I'm a bit curious to know what exactly caused this "catastrophe"? Is there an estimate as to when the playlist will be fully loaded again? Although I suppose their is no need to rush the process.

I thought something was funny when the search function couldn't find a single Star Wars album. Good luck getting everything back, and in the mean time, let's submit ourselves to the iron will of the random track selector, and perhaps enjoy some underplayed tracks. |

I was looking through the playlist just now, sorting by Year and by artist, and after reading this anouncement, came to a conclusion;
Even with a temporarily limited playlist, SST still blows doors off other music sites.

Jeric - I hope the process of restoring the playlists isn't too long and tedious! I'm sending well wishes to you for an easy upload and a little luck, so it doesn't happen again! I still love the music and it gives me an opportunity to learn about different composers and music that I may be unfamiliar with, so it's a great learning opportunity for me!

Thanks for letting us know. I hope it's not too cumbersome to get it all loaded. I get people here (at work) that call me when the screen blinks on their pc so I get my share of troubleshooting too. Keep up the good work and the fantastic site!!

Oh so true! Thanks JERIC for all the hard work! It isn't unusual for SST to make my day. I actually look forward to logging in in the mornings... even with a diminished playlist.
