Interesting interview, thank you Obi.

Unfortunately, there is not a word about the 300 score controversy (as BhelPuri stated in the VIP forum). Would have been interesting to have Bate's point of view on that matter!

Yes this has been verified and Warner Brothers has even released a statement regarding the similiarities:

Pictures acknowledges and regrets that a number of the music cues for the score of "300" were, without our knowledge or participation, derived from music composed by Academy Award winning composer Elliot Goldenthal for the motion picture "Titus." Warner Bros. Pictures has great respect for Elliot, our longtime collaborator, and is pleased to have amicably resolved this matter.


It has also been discussed on film music message boards almost immediately after the '300' score was released.
