I can't seem to load a new avatar in my profile - the error message says:
The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png
I can't even reload my old avatars, which were in the right format and size, so is there something wacky going on? |

I tried and I can confirm that the "Upload Avatar from your machine" option doesn't work.
However, you can still use the "Upload Avatar from a URL" option as a temporary solution...

Lieserl had this same problem temporarily last week.
The jpg was 150x150 pixels (or less) but the file name length seemed to be the problem (too long). Can you see if that's what is causing the problem?
If not, let us know and we'll check it out. |

I moved the jpg to my desktop to shorten the file name and even tried changing the name of the file. Still didn't work despite being 85x85 pixels and 1.74 KB using Firefox.
I ended up uploading the avatar from a URL. Alchemist, thanks for the tip! |

Just adding my 2 cents worth.
I was so frustrated! This comes up every time...
The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png
and it was..even smaller!
Did the desk top move, file move, and url address.
NO luck.
I wanted a pirate don't ya know.. I thought maybe..Pirate patrol was on duty!!

I GOT IT!!!! Go to http://imageshack.us/ and upload the image. Then on the page they give you the links on, copy the "Direct Link" URL and paste it into the URL box on you streamingsoundtracks.com profile page. It worked for me

Hmmm so let me ask, is that shadowy picture now sitting under your name the result of this action?
Because you see I did that with photobucket sit and still got zero, zip, nada!!!
