|
If you look at the website for the new PC-Game BIOSHOCK, parts of the original orchestral soundtrack, composed by Garry Schyman (A-Team, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, Magnum, Lost in Africa) can be legally downloaded for free here!
Several influences of the modern era (e.g. Penderecki, Lutoslawski, Ligeti), mid-20th-Century (Shostakovich, Bartók) and fin-de-siecle/neoromantic (Skrjabin, Rachmaninov) can be found on these 12 tracks.
They are regrettably quite short (max. 3'), but still are very much fun to listen to.
Anyway, for any soundtrack lover this is the best opportunity to listen to new sources! _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

That's awesome! This game has really neat music too! _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

I just love it when people legally give away free music. And I love it more when fellow SSTers point it out. Thanks! |

Wow, this is a really different kind of game score. I'm afraid I don't have the musical vocabulary as our illustrious compser friend bpewien. But I was struck by the violins and piano used in these tracks. Almost makes me want to play the game, or at least have my husband play it so I can watch. |
