Considering I did not have access to a computer Thursday October 18th 2007 after 12:00 (traveling), and the Chat time stamp states it is 20:45, and the queue can not be longer than 3.5 hrs, meaning that I would have had to request that song NO LATER than 17:15, I could NOT have requested the "Now Playing" track. So. YES, it is indeed a Photoshop Watson.

Well, at least they seem to actually mean "soundtrack" and not "score".

Obviously, as you can tell from the other choices, what the Vanity Fair folks mean by 'soundtracks' is not scores, but song compilations to accompany movies.
If we were to be influenced by the VF ratings, well, we'd better include all the songs from Saturday Night Fever, American Grafitti, and all the rest, which we clearly don't want to do. |

I think that Jeric is quite right to draw the line where he did, or else you would have to, to be fair add A Hard Days Night and Saturday Night Fever, and The Big Chill.
I do miss not getting to hear the group music from the Lost In Space movie....
Those songs take me to another world.... which is what a movie is supposed to do.
Which is..... just what the gaming soundtracks do.... and there is no restriction on that "hallowed ground".. _________________ Emergency Command Override 100375 ---- "READY WHEN YOU ARE SGT. PEMBRY ...." |

I'm not particularly crazy about this idea of removing actual songs from certain soundtracks. If the song was included in the movie, it should remain available, as it is part of the soundtrack. The site is called Streaming SOUNDTRACKS, not Streaming Scores. Of course, these so-called soundtracks that are "inspired by" the motion picture, I have no dispute deleting those from the system.
In fact, before finding this thread, I was going to suggest adding more songs, especially to BACK TO THE FUTURE, as tracks #2 (Time Bomb Town), #4 (Heaven Is One Step Away), #7 (The Wallflower (Dance With Me Henry)), and #8 (Night Train) aren't listed. |

I think the reason they aren't listed is because they aren't closely associated with the movies. I've seen the movies a few times, and even own the box set DVDs, but I can't tell you what any of those tracks sound like. They're not closely associated with the movies like the Huey Lewis and even the ZZ Top songs are.

agreed 100 percent.
not to sound like a fanboy to the soungs with lyrics but listning to them in the mix of the scores and other songs for the last 2 or so years has been what kept me comming back and made this station MORE enjoyable. |
