|
Hi, SST Folks !
didn't find the scores of Easy Rider in the dBase ? - This movie was and still is amazing with Peter Fonda and Jack Nickolsen. The film scores are from many different, e.g. Steppenwolf...
BORN TO BE WILD is unforgettable, you remember ??
This movie was the official representative for the US at Cannes in 1969. - And you can say, it is the 1st real Road Movie...
A short trailer you can find at Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Rider-35th-Anniversary-Deluxe/dp/B0002O7XWC
So, good arguments to set in onto the dBase !
Enjoy listening to good music ! - ElJay from Europe/Germany/Hamburg.
(P.S.: If you like to listen into some tunes, on the German language Amazon sites are single tracks: 1. The Pusher 2. Born To Be Wild etc. ...

History making or not, it's also a "Various Artists" score, meaning that there is likely little or no original music for the film.
SST has traditionally shunned such "pop music" albums. However, there are exceptions make, usually when a particular song is very closely associated with the film (most people think of the film when they hear the song).
Also, in cases where there are a few original score track on an album like this, if someone is willing to donate the album to SST those select tracks can be included. See "From the Earth to the Moon" for an example. I donated that knowing that only 2 tracks would be included in the playlist.

Does SST need the "original", I mean the DVD/CD as hardware or is possible a donation via PayPal the 8,00 US$$ and the SST crew download it herewith from Amazon ??

According to Wikipedia:
"Other movies that have used the Steppenwolf version of Born to Be Wild include Coming Home, One Crazy Summer, Opportunity Knocks, Dr. Dolittle 2, Speechless, and Herbie Fully Loaded."
Just an FYI.

To answer your follow-up question:
SST would prefer the original media if at all possible. In rare cases JERIC has added something from iTunes, and I'm sure we'll have a few from Amazon eventually, but the preferred method it to provide the original media to SST.

Thank's Jeff alias j2b. Will have a look around, if it make sense with buying via Amazon.de (even here some delivery costs to my German address + air cargo fees to US), might double the total costs instead PayPal + direct DL.
