|
Good morning fellow SST'rs.
I have just got the latest update for my PSP and it now includes (amoung other things) a web radio player!
So, if you have WI-FI access and your PSP in your pocket - you can listen to SST on the GO!
It takes a while to find the station as you can't simply type an address, or even search by station name.
Instructions
1) Download What Sony call "Internet Radio Player I".
2) Run it...
3) Click the "Game" catagory
4) Click Next station a few times
5) Enjoy
It seems to be restricted to the 64kbps AAC+ stream.
If, while your player (or indeed while I'm playing) you find another one of the streams, let us know!
Incase your wondering, Player 1 does ShoutCast streams and Player 2 does IceCAST Streams.

The qualilty of the streaming keeps dropping. But I think thats mainly down to the PSP wireless chip and my wireless jungle of a front room!
I currently have the following devices running wirelessly all in one room
1) Wii
2) Wii Remotes
3) XBOX 360 controllers
4) Wireless Laptop
5) Bluetooth Wirless Mouse
6) Bluetooth headset on a mobile
7) 3 Mobile Phones
PPC over wifi and bluetooth
9) PSP Console
10) Cordless Phones
All on different frequencies but who knows what mess they could be causing LOL _________________ Visit my blog (family/work safe) http://www.vwillcox.net |

This is really cool SaticICE. Thank you for sharing this. We're going to have to come up with a comprehensive page which shows you all the different ways to listen to SST (TiVo, PSP, Cell, etc.)
Do you see any of the other 24seven.FM station on there? _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Next time I boot my PSP up, I will scan through and see if I can find any of the other stations!
If I find them, I will let you know where! _________________ Visit my blog (family/work safe) http://www.vwillcox.net |

PSP = Playstation Portable. It is Sony's hand held gaming machine.
Quality of graphics are like The Playstation One. But you can play it anyware.

This is great news. I own a PSP and look forward to listening to SST anywhere with a wireless connection.

I noticed today that we're getting hits from this page: http://radio.psp.dl.playstation.net/psp/radio/player/PLAYER_I/index.html
I'm not sure how it works though. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

JERIC, that web page is what loads on the PSP.
PLAYER_I = ShoutCast player.
This might be me listening on my PSP or, it could be another SST'er!
I am already formulating plans as to how this can be turned into something like a SST branded player that for example, will play the VIP streams! _________________ Visit my blog (family/work safe) http://www.vwillcox.net |
