Now that we're in that weird lull between Christmas and New Year's, I was wondering if anyone out there makes New Year's resolutions anymore and, if you do, do you actually stick to them?
Personally, I do try to make them but most don't survive the month of January. One key one for 2008 is to try to be more active. To keep myself on top of this one, I think I'm going to start taking ballet lessons. Crazy at my age but it does seem interesting and something I'll stick to, especially since the daughter takes them from the same teacher. Guilt will keep me going if nothing else does. _________________ Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you're up to. |

The trick is to makes resolutions you know you can accomplish.
Something between "This year, I'll learn to pilot a rocket" and "This year, I'll stop to eat more chocolate than twice a day".
For exemple, "This year, I'll rate all the non-rated scores at SST".
Happy new year everyone.
(And no, I won't tell you my resolutions for 2008) _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

I don't make resolutions every year, but I've made several and managed to keep them all so far. This year I hope to figure out where the heck my future is headed before the end of January _________________ When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. |

Lose weight, lose weight, lose weight. Write more music. I think I can handle it _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

I make my resolutions at my birthday. Seems more personal that way. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

I don't make New Year's resolutions at all. If I think something needs to be changed in my life I try to do it straight away instead of waiting till New Year's (it could be 364 days away ). |

From time to time even 365 days!
BTW: I think Albi's way is good. If I make any resolutions I don't wait till New Year either. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

resolution is not to win the lotto. revers thinking maybe that should work. _________________ If you have it you don't need it. If you need it you don't have it. You need it to get it and you certainly need it to get more of it. Which means you don't have it to begin with people just know. |

I think if you tie resolutions to different things you have a better chance of following through.
for example, i want to loose some weight and get in shape.
fine, lets make that a resolution.
now, i want to loose weight and get in shape for my wedding so i dont look like crud in my tux. infront of my whole family and in the photos forever..
little more motivation there _________________ Rob Wilson
