ok the original German pronunciation should be (Germans, correct me if im wrong) "LEEZ-url." its the traditional cuter derivative of the name "Elizabeth" in German, so roughly translates to "Lizzie."

If you want to reinforce the site-wide perception of your cute harmlessness, I suggest that you start going by "Lieserlileinchen". Wink Razz

so that translates to, what, "Little Inches of Lieserl?" RazzWink

Shocked waitaminute...

T'is pronounced (Spanish-like)

Ar-dee-yuh Low-kuh

(means crazy squirrel) And even though squirrel is a feminine noun in Spanish, I assure you I am quite male...

Cheers!

So it's "lynn" instead of "len"?

Got that one wrong.

So far I've got most of these right, at least mentally. I know if/when I meet any of you in person I'm going to butcher half of them when I say them. Yes, I talk like I type Razz

Mine's pronounced like aqua - tea - fan - roadie. I'm the fanclub president/roadie for a propaganda band called AkwaTrolee. It's an inside joke of the most severe kind. Smile

I knew the proper pronounciation of Dufresne was "doo-frain" from a skit in the Red vs Blue web series. "Thats too hard for me to pronounce, so from now on your name is Doc." I had forgotten about the Shawshank Redemption character.

Anyways, mine looks weird but its pretty straight forward. Fox is fox ( or phox for phire's sake Smile but the last part sounds like "mic-loud". Think Highlander.
