This poll has no official value. This is just out of my own personal curiousity.

As everyone knows, StreamingSoundtracks is supported out of pocket by Jeric. We are also supported by those listeners out there who are nice enough to make donations.

My question is this. If StreamingSoundtracks were to setup a paypal account or something to that effect, would listeners be willing to contribute to a fund that would be used to purchase more available bandwidth so that we could increase the amount of streams that we are able to support.

Let me know what you think.

I get the point for the poll, but one other thing : doesn't streamingsoundtracks already have a paypal account?

Now as far as I see it, right now Jeric relys on our generosity to contribute either bandwidth or money to support this site. What is being suggested here is the ability to contribute money. A change here would be detrimental. I therefore have to conclude that this is not a good plan. As a side note, Jeric would have to give us all the password to the account and then somebody could "borrow" money from that account. No, the present setup is much more satisfactory.

I'm not sure if this info is usually posted for the public, but I was wondering if there was some kind of a break down on how the contributions work? Eg - how much do you need to open up more streams?

I can understand some people's trepidation at donating to an unknown quantity, however, I still plan on donating at least once($20.00)a month... I may not understand fully where everything goes but in a sense that is how all donations work... Amazingly enough, Jeric isn't making anyone donate to listen to Streaming Soundtracks. I for one feel that is a larger risk than anything we have to face....

What happens when you want to help out, but you don't have paypal, or any other means of internet pay methods? Nor do you have a credit card or checks? So how does someone help out after that?

I'm with Hart... I plan on donating a fixed monthly amount, although I wish this can be a more subscription based option... meaning people who donate a certain amount will get certain privelages over other users. I know Jeric has been working on this already....

As it stands right now, if you make a donation, you will be given a reserved space on the stream of your choice.

have you guys thought of an alternate way in creating income through banners where if we click on them, Jeric gets credit for them??

i dont mean the annoying pop-up banners but if there are any banners that pay you for each visitor, then those might be an alternate source of income

i know that i would be willing to click on them

Please no. If Jeric would do that he will scare people away.

Especially when I am donating I don't want to see annoying banners that I have to click. I like this site very much the way it is now. Popup free, without annoying banners flashing in my face.
