Hi everyone!
This is my second request, maybe this time I'll be able to convince you to add my suggestion to the playlist
I would like to suggest adding soundtrack from the movie Six Days, Seven Nights to the SST playlist.
http://www.amazon.com/Six-Days-Seven-Nights-Soundtrack/dp/B000007O8H/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1200915307&sr=1-1
On the amazone site above are also samples available.
I watched the movie, and I enjoyed it. When I listen to the samples I can recall sceenes in the movie. The titles of the tracks are helpful too
I'm not good at writing reviews, so here is a part of one of the amazone customers reviews:
"Edelman goes hawaiian with this score (due to the setting of the film) and throws in an impressive orchestral sound to accompany it. The theme first appears in "Into the Mist" and has that trademark Edelman sound with soaring strings and cymbal crashes that put the icing on the cake. The theme itself is the love theme of the film and is pretty. It occurs a lot throughout the score in various places, but is not overused. The other motif is a hawaiian dance tune, complete with guitars, synthesizers, orchestra, and lots of percussion. (...). This thematic material occurs most noticeably in "Maketea", "Pink Kawala", "Fixing the Old Beaver", and the odd sounding "Lunching with Peacocks" (...). The other tracks to point out are "Crashdance" and "Pirates" which has the same percussion work as "The Race" in "The Skulls" soundtrack also composed by Edelman."
And last but not least: It's Edelman!

Dragon-fly nice choice! one of my favorite Randy Edelman scores and would love to see it added to SST. There are some nice themes here including "Into the Mist" which is wonderful (though very John Barry-ish). "Robin" also a nice lightweight romantic cue and of course there are the tropical/calypso elements because of the film's setting as mentioned in the review above. Overall an enjoyable listen got my vote!
also the soundtrack is out of print! |

Thank you for your support SiriusCreations and tranzishun
Before I made my request I've checked the playlist and I didn't find it, otherwise I wouldn't waste your time (and mine too) for this topic. |

That was also my first thought. When I did a search i found an album of 6 days and 6 nights (1994). _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

I vote YES.
The film was quite funny and the score surely can create some beach and summer feelings in this still ongoing winter _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,
