Quite a lot of pop compilations in there... only a few token scores, really.
Interesting list, anyway. *shrug*

Well, they did say soundtracks not scores, so I'm not surprised. Still, including the proper pop music is an art form. I think Ocean's 11 (remake) is a great example of properly including pop music, for example.

Yeah, a 100 best movie soundtrack list. That's cool.
Let's see how many Goldsmith soundtracks are on that list.
Oh wait, he got nothing. Zero. Nada. Not a single mention for him.
And that list was published on February 10th, precisely at Jerry Goldsmith birhday.
Oh irony. |

Purple Rain made the list? *vomit* And the only thing modern was LOTR. These guys seriously need to revise their list. (I won't even mention that Time Machine should hold the #1 spot - oh wait, I just did. ) _________________ "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you..." - Gandalf the Grey

You're right, j2, as usual: they did say "sountracks," which in all fairness should include compilations as well as scores. I just thought it was a little compilation-heavy and score-lite. Still, as you say, playlist selection is a subtle artform and should be appreciated.
