Following Twopop's lead with the thread for Wall*E I thought I'd start one for this film. I kind of hoping either this or Wall*E will be my first cinema movie since Final Fantasy (sad isn't it?)
Anyway - this is the official site with the trailer and some great extras like on location videos, a great video feature about Indy's hat and how Harrison Ford kept it on (including stapling it to his head!) and introductions to the other movies in the series.
There's a really interesting interview with Ford at USA Today including a slide show of his career.
And there's an equally interesting interview with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg at EW.com.
I have to say I'm really looking forward to it and I bought the trilogy on DVD (well, got it for Christmas!) in preparation!
What do the rest of you think? Looking forward to it? Glad they tried to stay away from CGI and keep the flavour and style of the other films? Looking forward to the score? |

I'm sooooooo glad they didn't go with CGI. It HAD to emulate the classics or the fans would be sorely dissapointed. TMNT is a good example of taking a great live action idea and killing the fans of the older ones with the CGI. I'm definitely excited about this one too!
BTW, you can vote on this too _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

Thanks WLZ! Was too busy asking Twopop how to add a trailer to a post like the Wall*E one! Rest assured my vote has now been well and truly counted! |

With two kids, we rarely get to go to the cinema nowadays: maybe once or twice a year.
...But we will DEFINITELY be getting a babysitter this May!...

I should be more excited about this. I practically prayed to my framed picture of St. Indy when I was trying to get into grad school for Egyptology.
But sometimes I think I like the idea of Indy more than his movies. Especially the action scenes, which always seemed to interrupt the story for me.
I dunno. Maybe I'll be more excited when it gets closer. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

The first review I've seen of the score is here. It has been translated into English from French (rather literally it seems) and makes for an interesting read in more ways than one! There are some midis available from a link on the page too apparently made from transcripts of the score. Haven't listened to them yet... |

Where's the maybe option?
On second thought... sending my vote to the DVD option...
I'm planning a run at the Dark Knight when it comes out..

Thanks, j2. Didn't see it on the official site when I first noticed it on MSN.

Sorry, I'd meant the "if you pay for me" option to be the maybe - guess I was trying to be too clever. |

Clips of the score are available to listen to at Amazon. Always hard to tell from clips but it sounds pretty good to me.
Also there's loads of pictures from the film over at IMDB with Harrison not looking 60 in quite a few of them! Do you, I really think he might pull this off! |
