I just thought of one. "Kissing You" from Romeo & Juliet. Both instrumental and vocal versions are very emotional especially if you seen the movie and you recognize the scene from which the song is played.[/u] _________________ "Are you not entertained? I agree with that one Jeric!
The version of "Crying" on the Mulholland Drive soundtrack gets me too. _________________ "I have *many* skills." -Xena |

Depressing not really, emotionally yes.
My co-worker just asked me why I was wiping tears from my eyes. :-)
Joe Hisaishi does that to me. Oh I love Mononoke and Nausicaä. |

Forbidden Zone makes me cry.
As for actual emotional crying, Hymn to the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan is quite moving. The music itself is powerful, but I've only teared up while watching the movie, never just from the music.

der untergang.....the movie and its music.
it just depressed me that people could think that way as hitler did.
and the piano music at some point in the movie touched me...
it was really beautiful. the contrast of such music with war on the background.
yes, very touchy. _________________ i like to dissect women, did you know i'm utterly insane? |

I'd have to say Garden of Death from Regeneration. It's Lament of WWI soliders is aweinspiring, and better to those who listin - a tune that you'll never get tired of. _________________ "Two wrongs do not make a right, but three rights make a left"

I will go with Into the West from Return of the King...re-creates the end of the trilogy pretty vividly in my mind *sniff* _________________ We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. Faure's Requiem always makes me tear up. And, though the entire work is too bombastic for me, the Agnus Dei from Verdi's Requiem sets me back as well.
And, I can't recall the particular section, but in Durufle's Requiem when the cello comes in for that one section.
Note, I don't really find these things depressing, except in a good way . . . emotional catharsis is necessary and I cry a lot. |
