What are your favorite tracks that, for whatever reason, you can only hear right here on SST?
Maybe the album is out of print, maybe it's only available via an expensive import, maybe you're a cheapskate and don't like to buy anything... Whatever the reason, which are your favorites?
In keeping with tradition, I'll go first (I'm sure I'll expand this list):- "Zero" from Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War
- "Space Lion" from Cowboy Bebop
- "Salva Nos" from Noir, Vol 1
- "Canta Per Me" also from Noir
- "Voyage to Avalon" from Kenji Kawai's Avalon
- something from Wojciech Kilar's König der letzten Tage (Not sure which track)
These are all from albums that are pretty hard to find in the US, though Amazon has some of them for a hefty price (or at least hefty for me). And most (except the Kilar maybe) I would not want to buy the whole CD for the one track anyway.
Thank goodness for SST!
So, SST peeps, which are your favorites?

Off the top of my head, I would say "Cancion del Mariachi" from Desperado. I like that track, but I don't want to buy the entire CD to get it, and no one sells it alone. So I listen here.
I also like Young Sherlock Holmes, which is out of print, but I can't pick a track. |

'Victorious Titus' and 'Pickled Heads' from "Titus".
Most of the video game STs like "World of Warcraft" or "Gothic 3" which are usually unavailable unless you want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for them. (I once saw the WoW ST "on offer" for close to $1000... )
...there are more, usually stuff where I like only one or two tracks on a CD. _________________ "Welcome to the paranoia club; cheapest fees in the universe and membership lasts forever."

Yeah, I appreciate the videogame soundtracks too. There are bunches of tracks I like here on SST, but if I played the fire out of them by owning it I may not like them as much. e.g. - The Schnitzel song. I love it but if I listened to it frequently, I would probably get tired of it. _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

It turns out iTunes has a Kilar compilation album with some tracks from König der letzten Tage. Unfortunately, from the clips it sounds as if the recording is significantly inferior to the original.
I like the suggestions here. Keep 'em coming!

Anything and everything from Dracula Battle 1 & 2.
One Winged Angel from FFVII
Unsung War from Ace Combat 7
To Dragon - The Island soundtrack is relatively easy to find online, I'd highly recommend it if you ever want to buy the whole thing. _________________ "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you..." - Gandalf the Grey

Anything from Cowboy Bebop. The only way it'll change is if amazon gets the mp3s up of the albums...then I can rightfully afford it.
If you had Wolf's Rain OST 2, I'd add that as well because that's still really expensive. |
