haha you are certainly right there mellow....i got sucked into the craze  looks like im going to watch the game tonight alone....oh well! i'll enjoy it! the goal made by turkey to tie was pretty crazy....football drama indeed!

I guess that is the beauty of football - you can never predict what is going to happen.
Holland Russia was a great game but not at all how I expected it to go. Bit gutted really because I've loved watching Holland. All credit to Russia, though, they got their tactics spot on!

OMG!!!!!!! i am so excited that russia won!!! it was such a great game!!!! what a major upset for sure, everyone was expecting netherlands to go to the finals and now.....?!?!?!? i love that it is so unpredictable mellow  makes it that much more fun. It was a great game, Russia deserved the win because they played very well. So did the netherlands of course, much better than the two teams last night for sure! Awesome game.... *excited*

Of course I'm surprised to see Dutch team play different from what they played before. But I think it tells us how good Russians were in this particular game.
Famous english international player Gary Lineker once said: "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win". I think, this can be possible outcome here again

Germans you say mol...maybe the russians? they have sure pulled further ahead than most thought, so why not go all the way...? Guess we will see

I wish all the best for Russians JT.
Germans won couple of titles before and I would be happy to see new team as champions.
But that doesn't mean that Gary Lineker's "curse" won't work again, I'm afraid

ugg....i am glad that spain won this, italy was playing dirty and i did not like their tactics during the game...it was at least better than the croatia vs turkey game, but still not that great! Now i have to wait till wednesday!!
No predictions possible i think! the game is very unpredictable just stick to watching it mellow

A really exciting second half once Fabregas came on (another one of my favourite players as he also plays for my team, Arsenal!). So I was chuufed that spain won and that Fabregas scored the winning penalty! But, what drama again!
And I agree, Jaded, Italy were dirty, negative and played defensively. In some ways the same way Turkey did and got through. Ah well, that's football!
Onto the semi finals!
And why not Russia for the win now? |

I must say that sports fans are really odd and noisy! walking back to my room last night everyone was wearing crazy stuff, everyone in a car was honking and at least one person was yelling deutschland! out of the car and waving a huge flag! ...im curious what will happen if they win..?! was a good game last night, the last goal from germany really was great! more fun tonight im sure!

Well I did not watch the game, but I knew Germany won, because it was very quiet after the match.
if Turkey won, there would be a lot noise here.
