Will anybody here be following it? Being English I have no specific team to support but I'm a big football fan so I'll be trying to watch it anyway. Saw most of the first game this afternoon: Switzerland vs Czech Republic
for those who are interested here is the result:

There's nothing but soccer on one of the main Norwegian TV channels now that Euro2008 has started. Thankfully I have a satellite dish with dozens of other channels to choose from, so I'll manage to keep away from it this time around as well

Well, in this rare case I'm not happy to be an Austrian, because half Vienna is sealed off because of the Euro2008.
Actually I really would like to emigrate for this month...

Come up to Norway for a little vacation. We could really make a point of not watching any soccer. My couch is available.

I can't help but notice that this is probably not the direction mellow meant for this thread to take.

It wasn't what I was expecting, no, but all wanted to do was invite comment about the championships! As a football fan I guess I forget how frustrating and annoying it must be if you are not into it. Particularly if it is happening in your home town. For what it is worth, bp, you have my sympathies. |
