Sadly, the world may laugh a little less. Leslie Nielsen passed away Sunday afternoon/evening. Shirley he will be missed. http://yhoo.it/ggR9sF

Thank you so much for making us laugh so many times.
But still, let's remember him for what he always was - a great comedian!

He was a great comedian, but he also spent over 20 years on Broadway, television (live TV, even), and playing romantic leads and the like. His comedic career didn't start until Airplane! (1980).
No matter what other roles he played, though, I'll always remember crying in the theater during that scene in the first Police Squad movie when we wore the wireless mic in to the mens room.
