|
Well, the dreams uttered here are finally coming true! La-La-Land Records is releasing a 2-disc set of Batman Animated Score, featuring the work of Shirley Walker and her team! This means that the Walker theme, the ne plus ultra of Batman themes, has another release (after Batman: Mask of the Phantasm) and her themes for the Joker, Two-Face, and others are finally there for the purchasing.
May this be the beginning of something wonderful.

Luther, is that a subtle suggestions that I add a poll? I didn't think one was necessary. SST is getting this. Duh.
I say this, of course, with respect to JERIC, whose decisions are final and whose site is his to do with as he pleases, of course, and I'm not bellowing orders or anything. Nothing of the kind.
But come ON! _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

I was going to order a copy, but my husband says he'll give it to me for Christmas. I warned him that if they run out before he does so, I will never forgive him. He assures me that if they do run out, it will be no fault of his, which I hope to Batman is his subtle way of saying he ordered it already.
It's being released on my birthday. It's frakking kismet! _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

...Still waiting to vote for the addition of this score.
Ok, ok, it's probably a no-brainer.

Well, as I expected, I did not get this score for my birthday. Mulder is going to make me wait until Christmas. But I did get some spiffy gifts from him. I got the Repo! Amber Sweet T-Shirt I wanted. And I got a new iPod! I have named him Trevor in honor of his predecessor. That iPod died earlier this year, before he even got to enjoy his name. (I told you it was bad luck not to name these things.) The only catch is that he won't be able to communicate with my computer, Aeon, until I upgrade iTunes, and I hesitate to do that. So I'm going to use my husband's computer as guinea pig in the meantime. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

Hey, wlz, what did you think of the last track on the second CD? (BTW, belated thanks for the belated birthday wishes.)
Everyone who doesn't have the CD, I kinda wish you could hear it. It's the late Shirley Walker explaining her Batman theme, playing various versions of it on the piano. She even demonstrates how it can be dovetailed with Elfman's theme.
I don't know why this little interview was recorded, but it's wonderful. And since it is my favorite theme for my favorite Batman, well, it just makes me squee afresh. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?
