Okay... this is kind of hard for me to explain, and I don't think anyone else has ever mentioned having this problem before, and I really have no clue as to what could be causing it. It didn't used to happen, and I can't see any coincidences or things that could've made it start happening. I'm not even sure when it did start happening. So...
I'm on a Mac G4, using Winamp, with something like a t1 connection, whatever the college is using. I hop on the 128k stream and listen for maybe 30-45 minutes or so, and then it suddenly stops. It will rebuffer it several times and play about 5 seconds of the same song, whever it stopped, over and over again. The first times it happened I figured it was just the stream going down.
But today, just as predicted, it happened again. I'm beginning to think it's not just the stream going down, but I really can't think of why it would do this... but sure enough, every time I'm listening for a while, it will just stop. I tried restarting Winamp, no go. So I tried restarting the computer, still no go. Only thing I can think of is that my IP is either getting blocked, or somehow the firewall on my campus is blocking it after a while. I switched to the 56k stream and that seems to work. I guess if it suddenly quits after a while then I can blame the college.
Oh well. Anyone else have any ideas as to why it's happening, how to stop it, or if you've had it happen to you also? It never seems to happen when I'm at home on my own PC, with DSL and Win2k. |

This problem here also, sometimes. But it happens only when the stream is down. Winamp will play its buffer which is for me 15 secs and for you only 5.
When this problem occurs I hear from more people in the chat who have the same problem.
This problem is mainly caused by a down stream I think/hope.... |

This is a problem the trinity server is having. If the source or relay disconnects for some reason, most likely from rebooting, then it does not connect again correctly. I then have to boot the source from the trinity admin to get it to connect correctly. I'm working on resloving this issue. If this happens again send me an IM. Thanks. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
