This was one of my first favorite bernstein scores! With airplane, elmer bernstein continued what he started with animal house, his way of scoring comedy in a dead serious, over the top way and thus making it even funnier.
I had long given up hope that this score would ever come out one day. Now, the impossible has happened and paramount opened the vaults! Many more good things are said to come out of it.
PS: The score is not available for purchase yet as this is just a pre-announcement, but i thought it could be good to have a little discussion here about it before its release on may 12th.

Its completely over the top. Ghostbusters is chamber music combared to this one. Its also completely insane but its hard to describe. Wait until lalaland puts soundclips up

The only thing to give you an idea of the music before the samples are put up by La La Land is a piano rendition of some of the music
