why was it removed? |

I assume you are talking about Track 19 from the album? I'll have to check out the track and compare it to the original Terminator theme.....but I am guessing it was removed because it is the same thing or similar enough that it was deemed repetitive. If it is in fact different then it would make sense to have it included in the playlist IMO |

I assume you are talking about Track 19 from the album? I'll have to check out the track and compare it to the original Terminator theme.....but I am guessing it was removed because it is the same thing or similar enough that it was deemed repetitive. I did not remove track 19, and my guess is that it, along with the 2 songs at the end, were never added to the playlist.
According to this (unfortunately negative) review on Filmtracks, the extra track is just a repeat of Brad Fiedel’s theme from The Terminator.
He says “…the two-minute recording of the original Fiedel theme is equally lifeless, despite the larger recording group. Several orchestras around the world have done much better symphonic justice to the idea through the years.”
Nate, let us know what you think after listening to it. |

Alright, listened to it against Fiedel's version and feel it is definitely different enough that it is worth adding the 19th track. Beltrami's version is definitely more symphonic compared to Fiedel's more industrial sounding version. Both are good though....
Oh, and the filmtracks guy hates everything so he isn't always the best gauge on stuff LOL He is a glass half empty kind of guy where he seems to go in hating a score and working from there LOL |
